Madonna Just Sux
There I was driving home from work listening to some moron on the ABC bemoaning the lack of morals among our politicians, when something hit me. The discussion about morals, conjured up in my mind, the picture of Madonna passionately kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on stage at the recent MTV awards in New York. The pictures bothered me the first time I saw them, but I couldn’t pin point the reason. Until now. Seeing those 3 tramps launching a full on attack on all that is pure and innocent is a sobering experience. The younger 2 of the girls are wearing wedding attire. Bastardised, cheapened soft-core pornography wedding attire but none the less it was supposed to be wedding clothing. The wearing by a woman of white on her wedding day is supposed to be a symbol of purity. No longer can it be a symbol of virginity, but it can still at least be a symbol of purity and good intent. So to have these tarts strutting around in a sickening parody of a wedding day is disgraceful to start with, and to top it off they were singing “Like A Virgin”! To then plant a full on tongue kiss with the aging prostitute Madonna amounts to nothing more than a full frontal attack on all that is supposed to be treasured as “pure”. Make no mistake, Madonna is nothing more than a prostitute, she sells sex. Its very simple, she certainly doesn’t make memorable music, nor does she write particularly meaningful lyrics to go along with her bubblegum pop muzak. She sells sex. As I pondered the meaning behind the pictures, which was obviously to sell more crappy Madonna cd’s being that her last effort bombed. I guess people just don’t really want to hear a pre menopausal ugly gap toothed old has been ragging on the Yanks. But beyond that the question I asked myself is how did we let it all get so far? What brought us to the point where aging tramps with fading stars publicly tongue kissing young girls in bastardised wedding attire is acceptable? Even applauded! (By Eminem, Beyonce, Piddly and Duran Duran among others). When I read that Lebanese Muslim youths gang raped a girl because she was Australian and white and therefore deserved it, I scoffed. When I heard one of the accused Bali bombers saying that westerners were turning his little part of the world upside down with their debauchery (I am paraphrasing here), I scoffed. Now tragically, I see their point. Not that I agree with it, but I see it. To come from a severely strict religious upbringing, one where you are taught that man is the master and woman is to be subservient to him, to a world where scantily dressed women perform sex acts on national TV and photos of the act are spread in almost every newspaper in the world must be indeed overwhelming. Is it not possible that when such young men see a woman what they are really seeing in their own minds, is “Sex available here”. Why not? They saw three cheap nasty sluts cavorting around in suggestive manner, and they see young girls trying their hardest to impersonate the said 3 sluts. What message does this behaviour send? The basic fact of the matter is this; the 3 girls in question have nothing to offer the world by way of talent, ability or leadership. The talent between the 3 of them would not amount to more than a thimble full. None of the 3 profess to being lesbians as far as I know and their kiss went way beyond what may be considered a genuinely touching moment between 3 people who are great friends and co admirers. A kiss on the cheek and a hug would have sent a far more acceptable message. (God I sound like a friggen leftie, all this hugging stuff) They are disgraceful role models for young girls, and send out horribly wrong messages to young boys. And church and community groups have the gall to protest outside Marilyn Manson concerts. I hate to sound like a prude, but what artistic merit did the show have? Where does it fit in the grand scheme of talent? If it was supposed to be “artistic pornography” it certainly didn’t do much for me, but I bet a few pre teen boys will sleep better at night now. And to think Madonna has 2 unfortunate children who will have to suffer for their mother’s considerable lack of good judgment.
